Cure Me, Please

Cure Me, Please is a 2D pixel-art horror clinic sim. You run a late-night clinic where the patients aren't quite human. Read each patient's dialogue and symptoms to diagnose them, then treat them hands-on with grim tools — pull writhing parasites out with tongs, slice open lesions with a scalpel, and drain pustules with a needle — all while a slowly dying candle is the only thing holding back the dark. Every careless cut spikes the patient's sanity, and a patient pushed too far doesn't stay a patient for long. Role: Game Programmer — built and maintained most of the treatment gameplay systems in Unity (URP 2D, new Input System): Tool-based treatment mini-games (tongs / scalpel / needle) sharing one modular HUD + tool-tray architecture, so new tools/mini-games plug in with minimal wiring Anatomy navigation that routes each body area to the correct mini-game from ScriptableObject case data Data-driven spawn system with validation — lesion/parasite/pustule spawning with footprint, body safe-area, and overlap checks so placements never break visually Unified world-space tool cursor — the cursor becomes the held tool across every mini-game, with tip-accurate alignment and pain-driven jitter feedback Diegetic candle lighting driving URP Light2D intensity, plus a sanity/pain feedback loop (pain meter → sanity spikes, camera shake, cursor tinting) Customer queue & dialogue-driven cases, VFX (particle) and SFX hooks across the treatment flow
